Feeling What Can’t Be Touched, 2020 - ongoing
Feeling What Can’t Be Touched studies impressions, traces, and demarcations of trauma and loss. The work documents and internalizes processes of healing and responses to affective intensities. Probing the interior theatre of the stoic patriarch, the images seek to overcome the malignant connotations of masculinity, as being an assumed emotional narrowness. Seeking to revise the working misconceptions of masculinity, the project’s poetic scope positions the masculine as vulnerable, reflective, and contemplative.
