Biography:

Liam Mullen is an artist, writer, and researcher at University College London’s Slade School of Fine Art. His research-based practice uses time-based media and installation techniques to re-configure abstracted systems, and, otherwise, ambient governing forces to prompt affective awakenings. Mullen is enthusiastic about working with sound-based practitioners, to discuss, and develop, educational-arts programming and platforms that invigorate sonic research practices, and celebrate the discursive possibilities of sound art.

He has worked on projects shown at MOCA (Toronto, ON), Susan Hobbs Gallery (Toronto, ON), Visual Arts Centre of Clarington (Clarington, ON), Gallery TPW (Toronto, ON), Gallery 44 (Toronto, ON), Trinity Square Video (Toronto, ON), Art Museum (Toronto, ON), and VIVO (Vancouver, BC). To read along with Mullen, you can find his words published by CMag, Cornelia Magazine, and Canadian Art Forecast.
