This dense soundscape renders radio-frequencies via modular synthesizer to mimic the timbre and inflection of a tuning orchestra. Created in response to the overwhelming speeds and abundance of media broadcasts, the piece breaks compositional traditions to create space for a contemplative, deep listening practice to thrive. The work’s recursive pattern resonates with the methods observed in Pauline Oliveros' Deep Listening (1989), as it hones a singular sonic event to lull audiences into a state of reflection with each swell and rest of the synthesized chorus and strings.
